CN-KnowHow was founded in 1985, the same year as the Chinese Patent Law came into effect. It was one of the very first patent agencies in China. It is a member of AIPPI, the Association European de Abogados (AEA), and the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association.
From the outset, CN-KnowHow has known the importance of being accessible to clients, therefore, our firm has 8 departments and 2 subsidiary firms to provide comprehensive services. Our practice comprises all the IP fields, including application agency, dispute agency, consultation, Assignment and Licensing and other relevant IP services, eg., training and translation.
CN-KnowHow has 22 attorneys and 9 of whom used to be examiners in State Intellectual Property Office. Our patent attorneys’ practicing fields cover the technical areas of pharmaceutics, biotechnology, chemistry, electronics, telecommunication, mechanics, and other patent fields.
In recent years, the number of cases we handled has been increasing steadily. Our firm filed PCT applications by entry into over 50 nations for Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and registered a trademark in over 100 nations for Yuanda Group. Further, our firm undertook dozens of IP consultation projects for many large enterprises including Haier and SINOPEC.
