The successful holding of the third CECC-JEITA Intellectual Property Protection Forum

The third CECC-JEITA Intellectual Property Protection Forum was successful held on April 10, 2009 in Beijing. This Forum was sponsored by China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter as CECC) and Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (hereinafter as JEITA) and was organized by the Law Department of CECC (i.e. Beijing Yulu Intellectual Property Development Center), and supported by Zhongguancun Electronic Trade Chamber of Commerce, Beijing Hailong Electronic Shopping Mall, Beijing Dinghao Electronic Shopping Mall and Beijing E-world Electronic Shopping Mall.
 
Mr. Wang Ning, executive vice president of CECC and Mr.Kui Genjiu, director of JEITA Beijing gave a warm speech in the forum. Mr. Xie Shunxing, director of the Law Department of CECC (i.e. Beijing Yulu Intellectual Property Development Center) presided over the meeting in the morning; and Mr. Qi Teng Xian Dao, chairman of Special Committee of JEITA Intellectual Property Protection, presided over the meeting in the afternoon.
 
 
 
Mr. Wu Xiaoming, deputy director of Protection Coordination Division of State Intellectual Property Office and Mr.Tian Chuan He Xing, director of Counterfeit Product Strategy Division of Manufacturing Industries Office of Japanese Economy Industry  Department, were invited to brief on “Chinese Government’s policies regarding Intellectual Property protection for Chinese enterprises attending exhibitions abroad” and “Japanese government's support to deal with the situation of counterfeit products", respectively.
 
Chinese enterprises invited by the Forum include the representative of famous Chinese electronics enterprises such as Haier, Hisense, TCL, Huawei, ZTE, Coship, Lenovo, Hangwang, Huaqi Information and Tsinghua Tongfang etc.. They made speeches and discussions on issues related to anti-counterfeiting, intellectual property rights protection, amendment to the Chinese Patent Law, respectively. Participating Japanese enterprises include Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Sanyo, Sony, Panasonic, Hitachi, Sharp, Olympus and Epson etc. They also made detailed explanations and warm discussions on issues dealing with counterfeit products and Japanese enterprise intellectual property right protection.
 
 
 
After the meeting, the officers of Hailong, E-world and Dinghao invited the attendants of the Forum to visit their shopping malls.
 
The Forum is an exchange activity held by China Electronic Chamber of Commerce before April 26 World Intellectual Property Day. It provides a communication and exchange platform for intellectual property rights protection of Chinese and Japanese electronics enterprises.
